New Profit Opportunity Through Mobile Platform

CBC/Radio-Canada has struck up a business partnership with mobile content provider Quattro Wireless, to provide Canadians with real-time access to news, sports, and entertainment content through mobile phones.
Quattro’s network and ad sales service will also allow CBC/Radio-Canada to create a new source of revenue, combining content analytics with ad supported content delivery on the go, the companies describe.
“Consumers today increasingly look to the mobile Web to find the latest news and information. Quattro is working with CBC/Radio-Canada to ensure that their readers have a positive mobile browsing experience where they can find all the relevant content they want on a well designed, ad-supported site,” said Lars Albright, vice president of Business Development for Quattro Wireless. “Partnering with CBC/Radio-Canada provides for a natural synergy as Quattro’s platform and Ad Network supports their business model, as well as delivers analytics about the interactive and browsing behaviors of its audience.”
